Buildings insurance does not cover the following:
Wear and tear or gradual deterioration of your home.
Damage caused by poor maintenance or DIY disasters.
Damage caused by pests or vermin.
Damage caused by war, terrorism, nuclear radiation, or sonic booms.
Damage caused by deliberate acts or negligence by you or anyone living in your home.
Contents insurance covers the cost of replacing or repairing your personal belongings and household items if they are stolen, damaged, or destroyed by an insured event. It also covers your legal liability if you accidentally injure someone or damage their property with your contents.
Contents insurance usually covers the following:
Furniture, carpets, curtains, bedding, and clothing.
Electrical appliances, such as TVs, laptops, fridges, and washing machines.
Valuables, such as jewellery, watches, art, and antiques.
Money and credit cards up to a certain limit.
Personal possessions that you take outside your home, such as mobile phones, cameras, and bicycles (you may need to add extra cover for these items).
Garden furniture and equipment up to a certain limit.
Contents insurance does not cover the following:

Damage caused by pets or vermin.
