John Wakefield to retire after 26 years at Newhomes

John started his career in retail banking over 40 years ago. He moved to the Woolwich Building Society as a Trainee Manager, and then he went on to have an extremely successful career, before leaving to help set up and launch New Homes Mortgage Services as one of the two founding partners in 1996.

In a statement, Stewart Bartle founding partner said “John was instrumental in setting up Newhomes, growing the business into one of the largest brokers in the UK, always placing clients at the centre of our strategy. John will retire in January 2022 and will be sadly missed by all his friends, colleagues, builder business partners and myself. I wish him the very best for a well-earned and enjoyable retirement.”

John Wakefield says: “Our firm has demonstrated great resilience over the last 26 years, I’ve never been more optimistic about our ability to provide our clients with the highest level of service, combined with implementing technology to improve the overall customer experience. I will be leaving behind so many colleagues and friends made over the last 26 years, who I know share my desire to see the business go from strength to strength. I hold nothing but fond memories from my time at Newhomes and wish them all the best for the future.”
