Wanting to update your home but not sure where to start? Spring is a great time to breathe some new life into your home décor, and we’re noticing a trend in pastel, airy hues that couldn’t be more perfect for the season!

Spring colours

Dulux’ Colour of the year for 2022 is Bright Skies, which is a soft, pastel blue, described as “a light, airy, and optimistic blue that’s good for the soul”. After a cold and gloomy winter, we’re all ready to bring some bright skies indoors!

We think blue is best paired with either a neutral palette, or similar, muted earthy greens, like Benjamin Moore’s colour of the year for 2022, October Mist, or Sherwin-Williams colour of the year 2022, Evergreen Fog, for a nature-inspired feel! A great complimentary pop of colour to warm the mood up is Dulux Sunbaked Terracotta!

Accessories

As these spring tones are airy and refreshing, we’d recommend using a mixture of organic, natural textures to pull everything together and keep a cosy home feel.

Throws are great for bringing a textured, warm feel to a space, and this natural cotton throw from Dunelm is perfect for pairing with our colour pallet. The check design is subtle, allowing the tassels to be the main feature.

To add contrast in colour and texture, we love the irregular finish of this vase from Made.com the black tone adds more dimension to the space, but it’s also available in a creamy beige if you’re more into your neutral tones!

Leaning into the organic theme, a rustic bench, like this one by Grace and Glory Home, is a great piece and a popular style trend right now. The wood tones are perfect for pulling the different patterns together and can be used as extra seating if you like your décor to be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.

One last item that we had to include are these gorgeous terracotta pots from Papaya Plants, they add a warm pop of colour that pairs perfectly with Dulux Sunbaked Terracotta if you want to bring a more boho element to the space. https://bit.ly/3odTEz4
